Death of my father

With the uttermost sadness and grief I have to announce that my father passed away late last month. He was a truly wonderful human being, the humblest and the most noble person that I ever met. He will be greatly missed and will always have a special place in my heart. May his soul rest his peace and may he be granted a place in Jannat-ul-Firdaus Ameen. I have been wanting to post about this tragic event but did not have the strength to do so. Your prayers and thoughts in this time of need are greatly appreciated.

I lost that caring giant of a personality, my wonderful nurturing father too, & can empathise with the searing loss & unforeseen struggles to come, which will challenge your very sense of identity.

Have caution, Shaitan is ready to rock you with furies of storms, filling the gap in your defences with his was-was, inspiring enemies within & afar.

Until this day, you were always a child, knowing that “dad” would take care of things if you had difficulties, but now you seem alone. Though you may no longer feel the security of the hug. The reality is that you are not left alone like little Ismail alaihis salam. The one who created the one who created you is the one who ultimately will provide in many different ways. The ummah of Rasoolullah & the children of Adam (alaihis salam) are there.

The next stage of the journey of life begins, new challenges, new opportunities, new duties, roles & responsibilities. You are the the little chick learning to fly, tawwakul.

One step in the past (preserve those memories of another country), & one step in the unknown future with girded loins & our duas for a felow wayfarer. Till at last you reach your destination, & greet your loved ones once again, in sha Allah.

  3. From Allah we com, and to him we will return.
May Allah accept your prayers for your father.
May Allah give you and your family the strength to overcome this, ameen. Oumsoumeyya.

  4. Salaam,

I’ve been following your blog for several years.

My sincerest condolences for the loss of your father. He shall be in my prayers.
