Zheng Chong Lin – A Chinese Muslim Pioneer in Thailand

Zheng Chong Lin was a Chinese Muslim migrant to Thailand who contributed greatly to the Thai society. He was responsible for building many public works in Thailand. He also helped to build a railroad between Bangkok and Chiang Mai and also gave land for building the Chiang Mai airport. He was given the honorific title of Khun by the King of Thailand. Zheng Chong Lin was also related to the famous Chinese Muslim admiral Zheng He. (Source: Encyclopedia of Diasporas)
