This is one of those posts which should have been done a long time ago not the least because Haji Noor Deen is the most famous Chinese Muslim in America. Mi Guangjiang or Hajji Noor Deen was born in Shangdong in 1963. He is currently a teacher at an Islamic College in Zhengzhou, China and lectures at the Zaytuna Institute in California. Hajji Noor Deen is also a researcher of Islamic culture at the Henan Academy of Sciences. Hajji Noor Deen is an expert in the centuries old tradition of Chinese Islamic Calligraphy also known as the Sinic script. He has had exhibitions all over the world.

For all the poetry enthusiasts out there here is a video of Hajji Noor Deen reciting three Chinese poems from Daniel Abdal-Hayy Moore‘s website who is a n accomplished Muslim American poet himself.

Haji Noor Deen has done more single handedly to give a positive image of the enduring legacy of Chinese Islamic civilazation than any other speech or book. I met with him I believe in 2006 during ISRA convention in Maryland, USA, where he mesmerized young Muslims with the flow of his pen. May Allah give him long life.

we bought 3 chinese islamic calligraphy a few years back from Dr Yousaf Chen when he came to Brunei and went to every expos here looking for these Chinese Islamic calligraphy arts, but they just never came anymore. We love these chinese arts very much. I was wondering, is there are any websites from where we can purchase these arts from? Or even, any plans coming here again?
