The Islam in China blog was selected as the best blog in the Asian blogs category. Jaztak’Allah and thanks to everyone who voted for Islam in China. Coincidentally I also got done with the semester yesterday so I will finally have chance to get back to everyone’s e-mail. Also expect new changes and big additions to the blog next year insha’Allah. Currently in Baltimore for the winter break. Interestingly the first documented person of Chinese descent in Baltimore in 1785. As for the history of Chinese Muslims on the East Coast, I am still looking for a resource.

Congratulations!!
“As for the history of Chinese Muslims on the East Coast, I am still looking for a resource.” Ask Dr. Umar Faruq Abd-Allah at the Nawawi Institute [www.nawawi.org]. He may be able to point you in the right direction, he knows a lot about Muslim history in the Americas.
Congratulations on winning the Brass Crescent Award!
